We are looking for sponsors for the Rink Rat shirts that are given out free to players who earn their rink rat hours by the end of February.
If you would like your company name on the back of the shirts please contact Dave Gillet.
Remember over 350 players will be wearing your logo on their shirts all over the town!
How does my child do this?
Rink Rat 2022-2023: Players must skate at least 25 extra hours (15 hours for Mite Intro, Mite 1, U6) from November 1st until the outdoor rinks close (usually in February) to earn a free rink rat shirt.
Rink Rat is a supplemental program to reward players who want the challenge of skating more hours than they are scheduled with their team/level. The extra number of hours may be challenging for some which is why this program is optional! A RinkRat hour log is available to keep track of your hours (see tab to right).
Some potential ways of earning RinkRat hours include:
1. Open skating (Examples: DEC outdoor rinks, Aldrich Arena, St. Croix Valley Rec Center, Roseville Oval, Vadnais Sports Complex, Highland Park Arena)
2. Open hockey
3. A back yard rink
4. Optional team practices
5. 3v3 Leagues
6. District Education Center Rinks - or any other rink!
What happens if I do it?
Way to Go! - You are an Official Mahtomedi Rink Rat!
GIVE YOUR CHILD'S INFORMATION TO YOUR TEAM MANAGER or LEVEL COORDINATOR. Team managers/level coordinators will collect T-shirt orders from your team and submit order to Rink Rat coordinator at the end of the program deadline. Your team manager/level coordinator will subsequently distribute Mahtomedi Rink Rat T-shirts to qualifying players at the end of the season!
