Wondering if your son or daughter is ready to start hockey?

Here's what you need to know...

~This is a free event. You can register online (link above) OR just stop by the day of the event.

~You can check in at the rink as early as 2:40pm.  Players are able to be on the ice from 3:10 - 5:20pm.  We will have volunteers available to check you in up until 4:45pm so feel free to start and finish at any time.

~We have equipment available for participants aged 9 and under to use during their time on the ice.  This includes a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, breezers, shin pads, and skates. We also have some sticks that can be used. Please ensure your son or daughter comes in comfortable, non-baggy, active gear to wear under the equipment.  If you don't know what to do with all that crazy equipment...we will have volunteers available to help you get it all figured out.

~If your son or daughter already has their own equipment or has borrowed from family or friends...that's great!  Helmets are required.

~If you have a stick, please bring it. There will be a limited number of sticks available. 

~Volunteer Coaches will be on the ice to assist and encourage the kids as they skate around.  At regular practices, players need to be confident enough to get on the ice independently therefore we encourage you to cheer on your son or daughter from off the ice.

~When your son or daughter finishes skating, all equipment needs to be returned to our "Return Equipment Here" table.  If your player would like to sign up for hockey...you have the option of using our Redpath Rental Gear.  For a $250 deposit and a $20 cleaning fee...you may use the full set of equipment for the season.  If all pieces are returned and in good condition you will receive your $250 deposit back.
