MYHA Girls Update

With registration now open, there has been a number of questions regarding the girls’ program and the number of teams for the upcoming season.  Thus, I thought I would take this opportunity to clarify the association’s decisions regarding teams at each girls’ level. Listed below are the teams the association has budgeted:

Mite Intro and Mite 1:  Co-Ed teams consisting of all Pre-K/Kindergarten and First Grade children. There will be groups of girls on each team, similar to Micro Soccer

U8:  One team consisting of 2nd and 3rd grade girls only. Because MYHA has adopted the American Development Model (ADM) for practices, the U8 team will share ice with the Mite 2's and 3's.  All players will run through the ADM practices together.  The U8 team will also have their own games with other U8 teams in D2 throughout the season.

U10:  The association will have two equal U10B teams.

U12:  The association will have a U12A and a U12B team, with tryout

U14:  The association will have one U14A team.
